Charles Bissue, the Director of Operations for the Kennedy Agyapong Presidential Campaign, has affirmed that Ing. Kwabena Agyapong is a distinguished politician and a deeply committed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Mr. Bissue, the Presidential hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, was one of the key supporters of Kwabena Agyapong when the latter successfully contested and won the position of General Secretary for the party.
Speaking on the ‘Frontline’ program hosted by Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Charles Bissue stated: “Kwabena Agyepong is a long-standing member of the NPP. He has dedicated himself to the party and has served it exceptionally well. At one point, he served as former President Akufo-Addo’s campaign manager and also as Press Secretary to former President Kufuor. He has an outstanding record, particularly in the media space. These are very commendable achievements, and it is healthy that he is part of the contest.”
Mr. Bissue further emphasized that his principal, Kennedy Agyapong, has also distinguished himself as a founding member, financier, and loyalist who provided support to Kwabena Agyepong’s previous campaigns.
“Kennedy Agyepong supported Kwabena Agyepong when he contested as General Secretary. They are like brothers and possess a strong understanding of the NPP’s traditions. I believe that at a point when the party requires both of them, they will join forces together in the ultimate interest of the party,” he remarked.
He was, however, quick to add that while Kwabena Agyei Agyapong is an esteemed personality who has served both his party and the country well, Kennedy Agyapong remains the most preferred and appealing candidate who can secure the NPP’s victory in the 2024 general election.
Mr. Bissue concluded by stressing the importance of such personalities for the transformation of any political party.
“We are all members of the NPP, and I believe that we need unity and cohesion in the party. This contest should not divide us; instead, it must serve to unite us as one political family,” he added.
Meanwhile, he asserted that Kennedy Agyapong is a man of many capabilities, arguing that success in politics requires wisdom, resources, and strength, all of which Kennedy Agyapong possesses.
He stated, “It is the combination of all three that sets him apart. He has consistently supported the party. While some individuals may possess one or two of these attributes, Kennedy Agyapong wields all three. Some people claim Kennedy is aggressive, but I believe he is simply a man who speaks the truth. He detests misconduct, so when he identifies people acting inappropriately, he expresses his opinion directly. This directness should not be mistaken for aggression. He is a man with a positive assertiveness.”
