The International Monetary Fund’s mission team is currently in Ghana for the Fifth Review of Ghana’s IMF-Supported Programme.
This was disclosed by the Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, in a statement he shared on his Facebook page.
The team is being led by Dr. Ruben Atoyan.
Dr. Forson, in his remarks, noted that although we started 2025 with challenges, we have collectively managed to steady the tide and have made significant progress.
He said the indicators point in the right direction, and he was hopeful the meeting would afford authorities the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from the IMF team.
”Encouragingly, the indicators point in the right direction, and this mission provides us with an important opportunity to receive valuable feedback on the work we have done so far in serving the people of Ghana.”
Below is the statement
Earlier today, I had the honour of receiving the IMF Mission team, led by Dr. Ruben Atoyan, as we formally commence the Fifth Review of Ghana’s IMF-Supported Programme.
We began the year with many challenges, but together we have been able to steady the tide and make significant progress.
While we acknowledge that risks remain, we are committed to doing all we can to address them.
Encouragingly, the indicators point in the right direction, and this mission provides us with an important opportunity to receive valuable feedback on the work we have done so far in serving the people of Ghana.
In his remarks, Dr. Atoyan noted that the team looks forward to the review in the coming days.
