Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sarbah Zita Benson, has taken aim at the Ghana Police Service, wondering why they had covered the face of the coach accused of sodomising a 16-year-old minor who recently died due to kidney- and liver-related complications.
The diplomat opined that the police ought to show the face of the coach, whom she described as a paedophile.
On Facebook, she referred to the coach who is currently under investigation as a sexual predator.
He was arrested, interrogated and released, but in its latest update the police said it is investigating a viral video in which the coach was seen in a compromising video with a minor.
A section of Ghanaians have expressed outrage over the incident and demanded that the coach at the centre of the controversy be prosecuted.
Madam Benson in her remarks said there was no need to cover his face because he is a predator and must be exposed.
The post read “Ghana Police Service Why have you covered the face of this paedophile who was sleeping with the small boy in that video? (now deceased)
What did this man give the small boy to drink that affected his liver and kidney and killed him?
Uncover his face; let the whole world see and know that he is a sexual predator, and people must keep their young boys away from him.”
