Ghana has signed a bilateral debt agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany.
This was announced by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, with Germany represented by Ambassador Frederik Landshöft.
Dr Forson noted that this agreement is Ghana’s sixth agreement under the ongoing restructuring programme.
The lawmaker indicated that the agreement signed marks yet another critical milestone in our economic recovery journey.
He said the agreement also is critical, especially as Ghana remains determined in reorienting economic growth.
He expressed gratitude to Germany for the partnership and confidence it has in Ghana.
“It strengthens the foundations of fiscal stability and anchors our long-term progress as a nation determined to restore growth and resilience.
I wish to thank the government and people of Germany for their steadfast partnership and confidence in Ghana’s future.
Together, we are building a stronger, more sustainable economy, one step at a time.”
