The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has refuted claims that it incurred losses exceeding GHC3 billion in its inaugural year of operations.
A statement issued by the Board in response to a publication by Asaaseradio characterized the claims as false and deliberately fabricated to undermine the successes and substantial contributions of the GoldBod to Ghana’s economic revitalization.
The statement emphasized that, contrary to the claims made in the publication, the GoldBod has consistently generated significant surpluses.
The Board assured the public that its quarterly financial statements will soon be published on its official website, providing evidence that the Board has not incurred losses.
“The Ghana Gold Board urges the general public to treat this false publication by “Asaaseradio” with utmost contempt and calls on the management of the station to retract and render an unqualified apology to the general public for such misleading and unethical publication.”
