Obuobia Darko-Opoku, Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, explained that the meeting marks one of many fruitful engagements ahead.

The AYA team shared that “Ghana is becoming a lighthouse example in Sub-Saharan Africa as it advances efforts toward a comprehensive, people-centred universal health care system.” Their words reinforce the importance of the work before us.

Bayer emphasised their commitment to support sustainable access to NCD medication through innovative solutions and leveraging insights from other initiatives.

She also indicated that the trust fund remains optimistic about the possibilities the partnership holds for Ghana.

“We are encouraged by their enthusiasm and optimistic about the possibilities this partnership holds. As a fund, we move with one purpose: to ensure that every Ghanaian living with chronic conditions feels supported, valued, and reminded that Mahama truly cares.”
