Ghanaian musician Captan has announced the successful establishment of his own record label, a venture dedicated to nurturing and supporting the next generation of musical talent.
Speaking on the Midmorning Drive on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Captan shared that he has spent significant time building a robust professional team.
This expansion includes connecting with influential industry figures, most notably his international manager, Jerome Kpakpo.Captan highlighted that his growth isn’t just local; he currently has a dedicated team in the UK supporting his vision.
“It is helping me explore. I am learning more about the industry from different perspectives and locations,” he told host Eddie Ray.The musician emphasised that his commitment to music is a lifelong journey.
He has moved beyond just performing, focusing instead on mastering the technical aspects of the craft and understanding the inner workings of the music industry.
According to Captan, he has reached a stage in his career where he can confidently mentor others.
His goals include building a music empire by establishing a sustainable structure for his brand and artists, creating impactful artistry by using his expertise in recording and production to positively impact lives, and focusing on resource sharing by offering a platform to new talents who lack the necessary support to break through.
“My purpose for music is for life, and I have invested heavily in that,” he stated, reinforcing his transition from artist to industry leader.”I am not here yet, but I believe I can hold the hands of others. Captan Music will grow to become big with musicians being managed. We are still building it up. It’s about passion, dedication and hard work, and I have a strong team behind me.”
