The National Communications Authority (NCA) has confirmed that the DSTV subscription price adjustments introduced on October 1, 2025, remain in effect.
According to an official statement, a stakeholder committee—chaired by the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations—is actively monitoring the impact of these new pricing tiers.
Despite the adjustments, the NCA reported a positive market response, citing a significant surge in new DSTV subscriptions over the final quarter of the year.
In tandem with pricing oversight, the committee (which includes representatives from the Ministry, the NCA, and MultiChoice) is collaborating with the Cybersecurity Authority to launch a crackdown on illegal streaming services.
