Dr Kenneth Klutse, the Policy Director for Team Ken (USA), has declared that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong stands as the only candidate capable of returning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to power in 2028.
This assertion was made during the official launch of his new book, titled “PHD Politics”, held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
Addressing the gathered audience, Dr Klutse specifically urged party delegates to cast their votes for Agyapong in the upcoming January 31st presidential election to ensure a strategic victory for the party.
The key point of Dr Klutse’s argument rests on the “PHD” framework, which suggests that Agyapong uniquely embodies the values of Patriotism, Honesty, and Discipline.
He defined patriotism as an unwavering love for one’s country and honesty as a fundamental requirement for all professional dealings. Highlighting the practical value of integrity, Dr Klutse noted that honesty serves as a vital currency, suggesting that a truly honest businessman can succeed even without initial capital.
Beyond personal traits, Dr Klutse’s book explores the campaign’s broader focus on restoring morality to the political sphere. He posits that by centring the campaign on ethical leadership, Agyapong is fostering a deeper dialogue regarding Ghana’s national values.
This approach aims to repair the country’s ethical foundations and rebuild public trust by addressing current uncertainties and national decline through a return to traditional values.
Furthermore, the campaign seeks to promote national unity and discipline by actively rejecting “attack politics” in favour of truthfulness and civility.
Dr Klutse added that Agyapong’s campaign has earned widespread respect through a commitment to accountability and humility, characterised by an openness to public scrutiny and a willingness to acknowledge past mistakes.
He lamented the lack of employment opportunities that has driven many youth into illegal mining, presenting Agyapong’s leadership as the necessary solution to these national crises.
