Award-winning gospel musician Diana Antwi Hamilton has opened up about how she successfully navigates the complexities of her family life, her music career, and her professional nursing practice.
She attributes her success to a combination of divine grace, meticulous planning, and diligence.
Hamilton indicated that she approaches her multifaceted life by taking “every moment one at a time.”
This mindset allows her to balance her duties as a wife, mother, and nurse with the demanding schedule of a high-profile musician.
To ensure her family remains a priority, she revealed a strict professional boundary: she does not accept gigs or contracts that conflict with the birthdays of her husband or children.
Additionally, she makes it a point to decline deals that interfere with Christmas and New Year festivities, as she reserves these periods exclusively for family bonding.
In the rare event that a professional commitment is unavoidable during these times, Hamilton ensures her family remains part of the experience.
“I factor my family into whatever I do; it influences every decision,” she explained. “My manager is well aware that there are certain dates he cannot touch. These include my husband’s and children’s birthdays, as well as the Christmas season. We need to be together during these periods.”
She further explained her travel strategy, saying, “Sometimes we go away for the holidays, so if I have to accept a deal, I prefer those based in the UK, or I arrange to take my family along with me. These are the steps we take to stay connected.”
The musician in an interview on the midmorning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM with host Eddie Ray ended by praising her family for their unwavering support. She noted that her husband and children have been incredibly cooperative, adding, “Because of their support, I make sure never to take them for granted.”
