An Accra High Court has clarified that, contrary to previous assertions, there is no record of a last Will and Testament left behind by the celebrated highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
The revelation surfaced following an official registry search at the Probate and Administration Division, initiated as part of the legal process to manage the late musician’s estate.
The search aimed to verify three key details: Whether a Will had been officially deposited with the High Court, the identity of the person who filed the document and the legal counsel responsible for its preparation.
In a document dated January 19, 2026, the court registry confirmed that no such record exists.

The report, signed and stamped by the registrar, stated explicitly that no will for Charles Kwadwo Fosu has been deposited at the registry to date.
The absence of a recorded will suggests that the musician’s estate may now be subject to Ghana’s intestate succession laws.
Unless a valid will is presented from an alternative source, the distribution of his assets will be governed by statutory legal frameworks rather than personal directives.
