Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak has announced the appointment of a new managing director as part of efforts to strengthen the administrative and commercial direction of the club.
In a press statement released earlier today, the Phobian family announced Mr Julius Ben Emunah as the new Managing Director of the club to oversee the club’s day-to-day operations, improve corporate governance, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at long-term sustainability.
Mr Julius Ben Emunah served as the Director of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association and played a key role in the planning, coordination and management of domestic football competitions at the national level, including the Ghana Premier League and other GFA-sanctioned tournaments.
Mr Julius Ben Emnua also worked as National Safety and Security Officer and Club Licensing Manager from 2020 to 2024, overseeing matchday safety operations and ensuring clubs’ compliance with CAF and FIFA licensing regulations.
He was the Regional Administrative Manager of the Western Regional Football Association.
Academically, Mr Ben Emunah holds a Global Master’s degree in Sports Management and Law from ISDE in Barcelona, Spain, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Accra Hearts of Oak Club officials expressed confidence that the appointment will bring fresh ideas, professionalism, and stability to the management structure.
Supporters have also welcomed the move, hopeful it will translate into improved performances and better organisation both on and off the pitch.
