The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu South, Effah Osei Bonsu, has assured the public that stringent security measures are in place for this year’s Easter festivities.
Kwahu Easter is a prominent tourism event in Ghana, drawing revellers from across the nation and beyond.
The MCE disclosed that over one thousand police personnel will be strategically deployed throughout the municipality to uphold law and order during the celebrations.
This initiative, according to him, aims to guarantee the safety and security of both residents and the anticipated throngs of visitors.
During a press briefing in Mpraeso, Osei Bonsu emphasised that the Ghana Police Service will collaborate closely with other security and emergency services to ensure a peaceful celebration.
He stated that personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service will be on high alert to promptly respond to any potential fire outbreaks, while the Immigration Service will vigilantly monitor movements at critical checkpoints.
Additionally, the National Ambulance Service will be deployed to provide emergency medical care as needed.
The MCE further urged the public to cooperate fully with security agencies and adhere strictly to safety guidelines to ensure a successful and incident-free Kwahu Easter.
