A fire outbreak has swept through Afful Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region, resulting in the destruction of over 300 stores and rendering approximately 2,000 individuals homeless.
The blaze, which erupted at dawn, was successfully brought under control by the Ghana National Fire Service.
With the assistance of reinforcements from nearby fire stations, the fire, which commenced at around 4:30 am, was finally extinguished at 8:20 am.
Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported, although the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The affected residents are seeking assistance from the government and private individuals to aid in their recovery from the disaster.
They alleged that no official has come to check on us. We are struggling.
