Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, the Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), has been elected as the Global President of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professionals Forum.
Formally announcing her new leadership role via a Facebook post, Prof. Klutse characterised the appointment as a significant call to national service.
Embracing the responsibility with high resolve, she declared, “I am ready to serve. I am ready to deliver.”
She expressed deep appreciation for the appointment, noting, “I am deeply honoured and humbled to serve as the Global President of the NDC Professionals Forum. This mandate is a renewed call to duty.”
The newly elected president emphasised her dedication to bolstering the Forum’s influence in policy development and the implementation of tangible solutions for the country.
To this end, she remarked, “I remain fully committed to advancing the core values of professionalism, unity, and service to our nation. We will continue to strengthen our contribution towards improving the lives of Ghanaians through policy support, expert engagement, and practical solutions to national challenges.”
Prof. Klutse pledged to champion inclusive development and long-term economic sustainability. She explained that, “In line with the vision of the President and the broader agenda of national transformation, the Forum will work tirelessly to promote inclusive development, economic progress, and sustainable opportunities for all citizens.”
Reflecting on the election, Prof. Klutse viewed the decision as a profound vote of confidence in her leadership, promising to approach the position with focus and humility. She described the outcome by stating, “This is a resounding affirmation of trust, and a responsibility we embrace with humility and purpose.”
The NDC Professionals Forum was established in 2018 following the party’s 2016 election review. It serves as a vital platform designed to harness professional expertise to refine policy direction, enhance governance, and support the party’s broader strategic objectives.
