The Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament, the Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has officially summoned Members of Parliament to return to the House for the commencement of the second meeting of the second session of the Ninth Parliament.
According to a formal notice issued from the Office of the Speaker in Victoriaborg, Accra, the house is scheduled to reconvene on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
The proceedings are set to begin at ten o’clock in the forenoon at Parliament House.
This summons is issued pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of Ghana, which grants the Speaker the authority to determine the commencement dates for parliamentary sittings.
The notice, dated 4 May 2026, marks the end of the current recess and signals the start of a new legislative period where several key government policies and bills are expected to be deliberated upon.
