The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially extended the deadline for the sale, filing, and submission of branch nomination forms to Monday, 25 May 2026.
This decision follows a comprehensive review of the ongoing branch election proceedings by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC), providing prospective candidates with additional time to formalise their bids for leadership.
Aspiring candidates now have until 5:00 p.m. on the new deadline to complete their submissions via the designated digital portal. In an official release signed by the Deputy General Secretary in charge of Finance and Administration, Hon. Barbara Serwaan Asamoah, the party clarified that this window is final.
“The Functional Executive Committee has directed that the sale, and submission of Branch Nomination Forms on forms.ghanandc.com be extended to Monday, 25th May, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.,” the statement noted.
The party administration further cautioned that any codes or forms purchased but not utilised by the stipulated time would become void, with all associated fees remaining non-refundable.
To facilitate a transparent process, the NDC has instructed all constituency executives to grant aspirants and members full access to party registers for membership verification.
This directive aims to eliminate hurdles regarding eligibility and ensure that every valid member can participate without restriction.
Reflecting on the importance of the exercise, the secretariat emphasized that the success of the internal polls relies on the integrity of those managing the process at the local level.
The statement highlighted that “the Party expects all Constituency Executives to ensure fairness, transparency, accessibility, and cooperation throughout the process in order to guarantee a smooth and credible Branch election exercise nationwide.”
As the party prepares for the upcoming internal contests, the leadership has called for a spirit of decorum among its rank and file. Members are encouraged to uphold the core tenets of the NDC during this period.
“The NDC once again urges all members to actively participate in this important democratic process and uphold the values of unity, fairness, discipline, and comradeship throughout the exercise,” the release concluded.
