During the engagement, President Mahama outlined several key government interventions aimed at transforming the country’s economic landscape into a competitive, export-driven hub. Chief among these was the administration’s flagship 24-Hour Economy programme alongside the newly established Accelerated Export Development Advisory Committee.

The President stressed that these initiatives are designed to boost local production, optimize supply chains, and expand Ghana’s footprint in global markets. He particularly emphasized Ghana’s keen interest in forging deep agricultural partnerships and exploring wider commercial opportunities with Wisconsin State, an area known for its strong agri-business and manufacturing base.

On his part, Governor Evers, who is leading a high-level business delegation to the country, reiterated his administration’s dedication to expanding international ties. He noted that Wisconsin remains eager to establish durable global partnerships and position itself as a key destination for mutual trade and economic expansion.

President Mahama reassured the delegation that Ghana remains fully open for business and stands ready to enter into enduring partnerships that deliver shared prosperity for both nations.
