The legislation is set to reposition Ghana as a top investment destination across Africa and globally by streamlining administrative processes, cutting red tape, and making it significantly easier for investors to establish and operate businesses within the country.

Under the new Act, enhanced investor protection is guaranteed through a strengthened legal framework designed to boost confidence and security for both local and foreign investors.

The law also improves institutional capacity by empowering the Authority with expanded mandates to promote, facilitate, and monitor investments more effectively.

Additionally, the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority is now explicitly mandated to support Ghanaian businesses to scale up and participate meaningfully in the national investment ecosystem.

These strategic legal reforms form part of government efforts to accelerate economic growth, generate employment opportunities, and establish Ghana as the premier investment hub in West Africa.
