The Member of Parliament for Takoradi and former Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere-Darko Mensah, has expressed firm confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Takoradi will emerge more unified and robust following today’s constituency executive elections.
Addressing delegates at the polling centre located at the SDA School Park in Takoradi, the lawmaker noted that the exercise remains a crucial step towards solidifying party cohesion ahead of future political battles.
“I am confident that after this election, the NPP in Takoradi will be stronger and more united,” he stated.
Hon. Okyere-Darko Mensah further charged party faithfuls to uphold peace, embrace the final results, and join forces to fortify the constituency’s grassroots operations.
“We must ensure peace before, during and after this election. Whatever the outcome, we should accept it and come together to reposition the Takoradi Constituency for victory in the 2028 general elections,” he added.
The constituency election is taking place to select a new squad of executives tasked with steering the NPP’s affairs in Takoradi for the next four years.
A heavy turnout of party delegates and loyalists has been recorded at the SDA School Park, with voting proceeding smoothly under tight security supervision.
