The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Issaka, has formally announced the sudden passing of Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sanni Jajah.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, the lawmaker revealed that the diplomat, who was also his nephew, died on Saturday evening, 9 August.
MP Issaka expressed profound sorrow over the tragic event, characterising it as an immense loss to the bereaved family while urging the public to hold them in prayer as they navigate this difficult time.
He added that the family would disclose full details regarding the funeral rites and burial plans in due course.
The late diplomat was named Deputy Head of Mission at Ghana’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia on 11 September 2025 by President John Dramani Mahama. Serving alongside Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, Mr Jajah played a crucial role in overseeing consular affairs and supporting the welfare of Ghanaian citizens in the region, particularly during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
