Adamus Resources vows legal fight after Minister revokes mining rights

August 12, 2026

Adamus Resources Limited has expressed deep shock and disappointment following a decision by the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, to revoke its mining leases, describing the action as unlawful and a disregard for statutory procedures.

According to the mining firm, the minister’s move to strip the company of its mineral rights was carried out “without regard to any of the statutory procedures laid down in the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006 (Act 703).”

Refuting the claims that led to the decision, the company categorically denied all allegations levelled against it. It described the accusations as “unfounded, contrived and deliberately manufactured to strongarm the company in order to deprive it of its leases.”

Adamus Resources further stated that it has noted an “abuse of power wrapped in the absolute disregard of law in the process leading to the contemptible revocation of its leases.”

Promising further action to challenge the decision, the company stated that the public would be informed of the “cogent steps the company is taking to shred this baseless revocation in the coming days.” The statement was signed by Alex Obu-Simpson, Group HR/Admin Manager.
