The Ministry of Finance has paid a total of GH¢10.82 billion (GH¢10,816,840,318.26) to bondholders under the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP).

According to the Ministry, the payment was made in full and strictly on schedule.

This latest settlement brings the total amount disbursed to DDEP bondholders since 2025 to GH¢41.36 billion.

It also marks the third consecutive coupon payment under the debt restructuring programme to be executed entirely in cash, without any payment-in-kind component.

The Ministry noted that the prompt settlement reflects the government’s fiscal discipline and firm commitment to meeting its debt service obligations.

Treasury officials expect the payment to boost investor confidence, lower Ghana’s sovereign default risk, and restore financial credibility.

The Ministry has further reassured bondholders, market participants, and the general public that all upcoming DDEP obligations will continue to be honoured fully and on time.
