President John Dramani Mahama has signed 10 parliamentary bills into law, enacting reforms across taxation, defense, justice administration, maritime security, and the cocoa industry.
The legislation forms part of a 12-bill package passed before parliament adjourned on 31 July 2026.
Among the newly enacted laws are the Income Tax (Amendment) Act, Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, Excise Act, and Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Act.
These new laws are designed to overhaul Ghana’s tax framework and boost revenue mobilization.
The others are the Customs Act, Community Service Act, Tribunals Act, Maritime and Related Offences Act, National Defence University (Ghana) Act, and Ghana Cocoa Board Act.
