Try violence in 2028 and you’ll ‘meet God’ – Adenta Kumi to NDC

National Youth Organiser aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alfred Ababio Kumi, popularly known as Adenta Kumi, has warned the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the party will fiercely match them if they resort to violence in the 2028 general elections.

According to him, the NPP is fully prepared to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the NDC in the upcoming polls and will not tolerate any intimidation, harassment, or attack on its members.

Addressing supporters at the party’s national headquarters on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, after filing his nomination forms, he issued a stern warning to the NDC, declaring that no NPP member would be assaulted under his leadership.

”We are sending a warning to the NDC, we will meet them shoulder to shoulder,” he stated.

Reflecting on past electoral incidents, he insisted that a repetition of previous aggression against party members would not be permitted.

”What happened the last time they misbehaved and took ballot boxes; that they beat some of our candidates, under my watch it will not happen,” he warned.

Without mincing words, Adenta Kumi added that any attempt to disrupt the electoral process or harm party members on polling day would attract severe consequences.

”I am saying this without fear, if anybody attempts to mess around with any NPP person, or the ballot box on that day, they will meet God. As to how they will meet God, we don’t know,” he cautioned.

He further declared: “We are not afraid of anybody. If they want peace, we will show them peace. But if they want violence, we will show them what power is.”

He assured party faithful that the youth wing under his charge would execute every legitimate strategy required to return Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to the presidency in 2028 and secure a decisive majority in Parliament.

Turning to his vision for the party’s youth wing, Kumi announced that his immediate priority upon assuming office would be the creation of a comprehensive database of young NPP voters across the country.

The proposed system, he explained, would capture crucial demographic details, including residential locations, voting centres, age groups, and primary socio-economic concerns. This data-driven approach, he noted, would allow the party to craft tailored messages that resonate directly with youth across various constituencies and track areas where electoral support may be waning.

He stressed the need for the NPP youth wing to evolve beyond merely mobilising young people for political demonstrations and campaigns.

To achieve this, he proposed continuous capacity-building programmes and resource allocation for youth organisers at all levels, ensuring sustained engagement with voters while offering young members skill development opportunities during the party’s period in opposition.
