The camp of Hon. Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover has strongly rejected claims that external pressure or systemic intervention forced rival aspirant Mustapha Salam to withdraw from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser contest.
Setting the record straight following reports surrounding the development, Titus-Glover’s aide, writing under the pseudonym Stonewall, clarified that Salam’s decision was entirely self-directed and rooted in personal strategy.
“Let it not be said anywhere that Mustapha Salam stepped down due to the influence, pressure, or intervention of any individual or the system,” Stonewall stated. “His decision was based on his own self-evaluation and assessment of the race, having carefully considered his chances of winning the NPP National Organiser position, as reported by Musa Danquah.”
Calling on party members to dismiss ongoing speculation, the aide urged all sides to allow the facts to speak for themselves and shift full attention back to the democratic process.
“We must respect his decision and allow the facts to speak for themselves. The focus now should be on the democratic process and the choice that ultimately rests with the delegates,” Stonewall noted, adding that Titus-Glover remains undeterred by the shifting dynamics of the campaign.
According to the statement, Titus-Glover is maintaining a sharp focus on grassroots engagement to build a unified party ahead of upcoming national elections.
“Hon. Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover remains focused, resolute, and committed to the task ahead. He is determined to continue engaging delegates, listening to their concerns, and presenting a clear vision for a stronger, more united, and better-organised NPP,” the statement read.
With the crucial vote approaching, the campaign expressed complete confidence in the party’s electorate to choose the candidate best equipped to steer the NPP toward future victory.
“Come 3rd October 2026, the delegates will have the opportunity to make their choice. We trust their wisdom, their judgment, and their understanding of what the party needs to strengthen its grassroots and prepare for victory in 2028,” Stonewall concluded. “The decision belongs to the delegates.
