PNP demands immediate sack of CSSPS boss over High School placement chaos

National Chairman of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Nabla, has demanded the immediate dismissal of the head of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) following widespread frustration experienced by parents and students in the ongoing Senior High School placement exercise.

According to her, the chaotic scenes unfolding at various resolution centres across the country have exposed deep-seated incompetence within the administration of the placement system, requiring urgent intervention from the government.

Speaking after an unannounced visit to a placement centre on Thursday to assess the operational challenges firsthand, Ms. Nabla expressed shock at the distressing conditions facing guardians and candidates seeking to resolve placement anomalies.

“I went there on Thursday to assess the situation, and it was terrible,” she said.

The PNP Chairman spared no words in criticizing the management of the exercise, labelling the head of the placement system unfit to continue in his role due to the persistent operational failures that have left thousands stranded.

“The head of the CSSPS should be fired. I don’t know his name, but he is super incompetent. He and all his people working there must go,” she stated.

Ms. Nabla maintained that the current leadership of the CSSPS has failed Ghanaian families and insisted that clean-up action within the unit is necessary to restore efficiency and public confidence in the annual secondary school enrolment process.
