Officers from the Obawale Police Command in the Yilo Krobo Municipality have taken a 41-year-old bursary staff member into custody over the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old Junior High School student.
The suspect, Saviour Attor, who serves as an Accounts Clerk at Klo-Agogo Senior High School, was apprehended following a formal complaint lodged on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
According to police sources, the victim’s grandfather made the report with support from the local Assembly Member. A joint team comprising law enforcement officers, community leaders, and the complainant subsequently moved to Mr Attor’s residence, where he was apprehended without incident.
The suspect was immediately transferred to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) for specialized handling.
In her statement to DOVVSU investigators, the victim recounted that the suspect sent her to purchase sachet water before forcing her into an unprotected sexual act inside his home. Law enforcement authorities immediately referred the teenager for a comprehensive medical examination, the report of which has been attached to the case file.
During interrogation under caution, Mr Attor reportedly admitted to having sexual relations with the minor at his premises.
The suspect remains in police custody as DOVVSU officials wrap up their inquiries before processing him for court.
