In a heartwarming gesture aimed at boosting academic excellence, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has hosted and celebrated the top six West African Senior School Certificate Examination performers from his constituency.
The high-achieving students were formally received by the MP following their outstanding performance in the national examinations. To support their transition into higher education, the MP’s office presented each of the six scholars with a new MacBook and a full scholarship covering their tertiary studies.
The list of celebrated scholars includes Freda Esenam Glah, Yvonne Kekeli Doe, and Japhet Akpaglo, who each achieved a remarkable seven As. They were joined by Joseph Sokpo, who secured six As, alongside Omoro Sulley and Ewoenam Afua Eleblu, who both earned five As.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr Ablakwa emphasised the vital importance of recognising youth achievement within the district, noting that society must continuously celebrate and motivate young scholars to inspire them toward even greater milestones.
The MP extended special gratitude to Togbe Worgbedzi for expressing deep pride in the students’ accomplishments. He also acknowledged the District Chief Executive, Hon. Victoria Yawa Doe, praising her dynamic leadership and effective coordination in making the recognition scheme a success.
