Four persons have lost their lives in a tragic collision involving a Toyota Voxy and a MAN Diesel trailer at Anyinaso Junction on the Accra-Kumasi Highway on Monday, September 28, 2026.
Firefighters from the Bunso Fire Station swiftly arrived at the scene to extricate trapped victims, clear the wreckage, and manage traffic flow.
The Toyota Voxy, bearing registration number GR 9430-26, was completely wrecked in the crash, while the trailer, registered GS 4064-26, suffered severe damage to its front section.
Emergency responders rescued one male victim alive and transported him to the Kibi Government Hospital for urgent medical care. The remaining four occupants—three males and one female—died on the spot.
Officers from the Ghana Police Service have taken over the scene to investigate the exact cause of the crash.
Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has renewed its call on motorists to exercise maximum caution and observe traffic regulations, particularly when plying major highways, to prevent further loss of life.
