A major firefighting operation is currently underway following a fierce outbreak of fire at the Yota Energy premises within the Greenhouse area.
Emergency responder units were swiftly dispatched to the scene following urgent calls for support.
A combined force of personnel and four fire engines from the Gbetsile, Devtraco, and Motorway fire stations, alongside a team from the Ghana Armed Forces BAD, are presently on-site coordinating efforts to contain the escalating flames.
The dense, heavy smoke visible from the facility has posed visibility and access challenges for the crew, but firefighters continue to lay out hoses and direct high-pressure water streams to prevent the blaze from spreading to adjacent properties and critical infrastructure.
The immediate cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been confirmed at this stage.
Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) are expected to initiate a full investigation into the origin and circumstance of the inferno once the situation is brought fully under control.
Members of the public and motorists travelling along nearby routes are advised to proceed with caution to allow unimpeded access for emergency response vehicles.
Further updates will be provided as official details emerge.
