President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to drive equitable development across all parts of Ghana, assuring residents and traditional leaders of the Ahafo Region of sustained state investment in vital socio-economic sectors.

Speaking at a well-attended Citizens’ Engagement in Goaso on Saturday, the President expressed gratitude to the Chiefs and people of the region for their support during the 2024 General Election. He emphasised that the trust placed in his government will be matched by deliberate development projects designed to improve living standards and accelerate economic growth.

The Goaso engagement marked the official conclusion of President Mahama’s two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the Ahafo Region. During his address, he highlighted several ongoing policy interventions, particularly in road construction, healthcare delivery, agricultural development, and broader economic recovery measures aimed at stabilising the national economy.

In a major policy revelation, President Mahama announced plans to expand road rehabilitation and construction works across all 16 regional capitals. The initiative, expected to be fully rolled out ahead of Ghana’s upcoming 70th Independence Anniversary, aims to enhance regional connectivity and boost commercial activities.

The President also reiterated his government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare access while modernising facilities to ensure citizens have reliable access to specialised medical treatment across the region.
