A 21-year-old senior leader of a notorious online network has entered a guilty plea in a United States federal court following an extensive law enforcement investigation into child sexual exploitation.
Prasan Nepal, also known by his online alias “Trippy”, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit sexual exploitation of a child. Court findings revealed that Nepal held a senior leadership role within the global online group known as “764”, as well as its subgroup, “764 Inferno”.
Investigators uncovered that the network targeted vulnerable minors across digital platforms, coercing and exploiting at least eight underage victims, some as young as 13 years old. According to federal authorities, arrests related to the 764 network have surged by nearly 500 per cent over the past year amidst a broader crackdown on violent online networks.
Following his guilty plea, Nepal faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison. U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton is scheduled to hand down the final sentence on March 5, 2027.
In a official statement regarding the conviction, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel issued a stern warning to online perpetrators targeting children.
“No child is your prey. No corner of the internet is your safe haven,” Director Patel stated, reiterating the agency’s commitment to dismantling transnational child exploitation syndicates.
