United States President Donald J. Trump has officially thrown his support behind Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the upcoming election in Israel.
In a statement shared online, Trump described Netanyahu as a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and a vital partner in the ongoing conflict against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He praised Netanyahu’s leadership during challenging political and security circumstances, noting that the Israeli leader has shown resilience under extreme pressure.
Trump warned that Iran’s long-standing hostility toward Israel and the United States posed a serious threat that required strong leadership to counter. He asserted that under Netanyahu’s guidance, Iran has suffered severe military and financial setbacks.
“Bibi Netanyahu has been Strong, Brave, and Brilliant in the face of tremendous opposition, including that coming from even Israel, itself,” Trump stated. “Despite all of that, he has endured and, in fact, he has thrived!”
The former American leader cautioned that if Israel elects a different leader, the United States might be forced to step in to complete the effort against Iran—a task he noted he would prefer to avoid. He stressed that the U.S. expects a firm and unyielding partner in Israel, given the extensive support Washington has provided over the years.
