Mustapha Gbande, an aspirant for the Deputy General Secretary position of the National Democratic Congress, has strongly declared that he is not a corrupt politician, insisting that his political career remains entirely free from any trace of financial misconduct.
According to him, throughout his service from the party’s headquarters to the Jubilee House, where he worked closely with the President, none of his superiors can associate him with any corrupt act or unethical behavior during his tenure in public office.
Taking a direct swipe at the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party, Miracles Aboagye, Mr Gbande pointed out that the NPP communicator was previously appointed as a District Chief Executive but was relieved of his post shortly after the general election.
He further alleged that Miracles Aboagye faced serious accusations during his time in government, including allegations of squandering funds that were specifically allocated to support NPP communicators.
Mr Gbande added that the NPP communications chief is now facing intense public scrutiny, as he is being forced to explain his involvement in lingering corruption issues and the alleged misappropriation of state funds.
