The Chief Justice of the Republic of Gambia, Honourable Justice Edrissa M. O. Faal, has undertaken a five-day study visit to the Judiciary of Ghana to bolster and consolidate the long-standing bilateral cooperation between the two judicial bodies.
Commencing on Monday, 19 October 2026, the visit served as a platform for both legal institutions to exchange practical experiences and share valuable perspectives on enhancing the administration of justice across their respective jurisdictions.
As part of his itinerary, Chief Justice Faal engaged in high-level discussions with Ghana’s Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie. He also conferred with Justices of the Supreme Court, the Judicial Secretary, Mr Musah Ahmed, and the Director alongside the management team of the Ghana School of Law.

Whilst in Kumasi, Chief Justice Faal paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
Chief Justice Faal was accompanied on the official visit by his spouse, Mrs Marian Faal, the Judicial Secretary of the Gambian Judiciary, Mr Abdou Conteh, the Director-General of the Gambia Law School, Ms Rougi Thomasi, and Protocol Officer Mr Omar Jammeh.
