A emergency safety team responded swiftly to the scene to assist. The driver of the truck, estimated to be around 25 years old, sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Authorities have confirmed that no fatalities were recorded.

Speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem, an eyewitness described the sudden nature of the crash, detailing how the massive vehicle tipped over and scattered its cargo across the lanes.

Police have since commenced investigations to determine the cause of the accident.

Meanwhile, motorists travelling along the corridor are advised to exercise extreme caution and divert through the alternative Akuapim road while efforts remain ongoing to clear the wreckage. Drivers have also been urged to adhere to strict road safety practices, particularly as traffic volume increases ahead of the approaching Christmas season.
