A car hits two pedestrians, killing one and injuring the other

One person was killed and another was critically injured in an accident at Abrepo-Akoko Spares in the Ashanti Region’s Kumasi Metropolis.

The deceased, a trader in her early 30s, reportedly died upon arrival at the hospital after being knocked down by a Benz bus carrying cement while standing along the road.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, when a Benz bus with registration number AS-1349-P failed to brake and collided with two cars and a motorbike.

One person on the motorbike is said to have been injured and is being treated at a hospital.

They stated that after the horrific accident, police in the area rushed to the scene to save the victims and direct traffic and that they have since launched investigations into the matter.

Agya Boateng, an assembly member from the area, confirmed the story, calling it “unfortunate.”

He claimed that the car failed to brake and ran over the victim. She was rushed to the hospital but died there. The incident was horrific, and the residents are devastated. Other vehicles were destroyed as a result of the process,’ he explained.
