Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams has advised President John Dramani Mahama to ensure justice prevails by rewarding good deeds and punishing wrongdoing.
The respected man of God and founder of Action Chapel made the remarks at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service organised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
He underscored the need for accountability in governance.
“Justice means rewarding people for the good done and punishing people for the wrong done,” he stated.
He also urged the president to uphold these principles for the benefit of the nation.
“I look forward to a Ghana under President Mahama where the atmosphere is conducive for prosperity, where Ghanaians will not queue for visas to leave the country,” he noted.
The service, held to thank God for the NDC’s victory in the 2024 elections, also featured Duncan Williams reflecting on Ghana’s potential under President Mahama’s leadership.
Archbishop Duncan Williams advised the appointees of Mr. Mahama to learn from his attributes and not forget their past.
He asked them not to allow the power they have obtained to change them, but the most important thing for them is to serve in the interest of the Ghanaian public.
According to him, the victory of the party was not only chalked through the efforts of party members but also Ghanaians who wanted a change of leadership.
