Municipal Chief Executive for Kasoa Seth Sarbah Banini has praised the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Philis Naa Koryoo, describing her as a mother figure.
According to him, the MP has demonstrated her commitment in ensuring a collaborative approach in developing the area.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the MCE indicated that the MP is working tirelessly in ensuring that the vision of President John Dramani Mahama in resetting the country is successful.
He pledged to work with the MP to carry out the mandate of transforming Kasoa.
Seth Sarbah Banani described the MP as a big sister and mother figure not only to him but to everyone in the area.
The MCE went on to say that sanitation is one of the municipality’s most pressing issues, and that their efforts have resulted in significant improvements.
He was also disturbed by how Kasoa is described, with people attributing criminality to the area.
He claimed that several criminal activities take place in other areas but are attributed to Kasoa.
He was quick to point out that a rebranding exercise is underway to give the area a positive narrative.
Mr Banibni stressed that he will remain committed to dealing with the sanitation and congestion situation in Kasoa.
He said that trading activities on Kasoa’s streets would no longer be tolerated, and that traders had already been informed of this.
He stated that he had already met with stakeholders to discuss the best way to deal with indiscriminate waste disposal in the municipality.
