The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released a statement to refute reports regarding the reinstatement of Mr. Michael Owusu Afriyie, also known as Teacher Kwadwo.
The GES explicitly declared that the circulating news is false and that Teacher Kwadwo has not been reinstated. His dismissal, which occurred in 2021, remains in effect, the GES said.
A statement issued and signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, GES, said the outfit has provided a clear path forward for Teacher Kwadwo.
According to him, if Teacher Kwadwo believes his dismissal was unjust, he is encouraged to submit a formal, written petition to the service for reconsideration.
The GES has therefore asked the Ghanaian public to disregard the misinformation and rely on official communications from the GES.

The attention of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has been drawn to reports circulating in sections of the media suggesting that Mr. Michael Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo, has been reinstated into the Service.
The Ghana Education Service wishes to state that the report is false. Mr. Owusu Afriyie has not been reinstated.
However, if Mr. Owusu Afriyie believes that his dismissal, which happened in 2021, is contestable, he is encouraged to submit a formal petition in writing for due consideration.
The public is hereby advised to disregard the false reports.
