The General Overseer of the Eternal Life Church, Bishop E.O. Ansah, has declared that although he is involved in partisan politics, he believes that it was about time Kennedy Agyapong is elected President of the republic.
According to him, the former Assin Central Member of Parliament is a qualified candidate to be elected to manage the affairs of the state.
The man of God said Mr. Agyapong is someone who remains dedicated to transforming the country and that his desire to be President is something that had been prophesied several years ago when he (Kennedy) had not put his mind to being President.
He made the remarks at the inauguration of the Eternal Life Church, Favour Centre, Madina in Accra on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Bishop E.O. Ansah described him as a prolific entrepreneur and a powerful politician, industrialist who needs no introduction.
He stated that the man has invested in several businesses, industries, and several other initiatives that have transformed the lives of many.
”I am very careful as a pastor to show where I stand because I can have within my congratulation members who are on the other side,” but that should not affect my conviction.
He said his conviction is that Ghana needs Ken Agyapong. “I am not here to do politics but I am here to offer spiritual guidance.”
Bishop E.O. Ansah stated that we need somebody who can create jobs if elected because he has the track record.
He said the man has created jobs which have employed over 7,000 people who are making earnings and supporting themselves and their families.
Mr. Agyapong’s Comments
On his part, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, who was a special guest at the church, called for collaboration between politicians and the church.
He said the church must be bold in declaring who is more competent to be President of Ghana.
“The situation we are in now requires that the Church should be bold to come out and take directions on who should be the leader of this country,” he stated.
“We politicians have lied to the citizens of this country so many times that they have lost trust in us. But when men of God speak to them, they believe. That is why the Church must do more to help this country.”
“The politicians and the Church should collaborate as partners for the development of this country,” he said. “I encourage the Church to work with politicians to help build this country through industrialisation.”
He added “The Church should invest part of its monies in creating jobs for its members”.
According to him, sustainable national development required a shared sense of responsibility among all sectors.
