The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr Clement Abas Apaak, has reiterated the government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure within the Builsa enclave.

The assurance formed part of a message he shared with constituents during Eid celebrations in Fumbisi, where he outlined key development priorities and ongoing interventions by the government.

In his statement, Dr Apaak stressed that road construction remains a central focus, noting that both major and feeder roads in the area are receiving attention.

“We are committed to the construction of our main road and the feeder roads,” he stated, underscoring the government’s resolve to enhance connectivity and ease transportation challenges in the constituency.

He explained that improving road networks will not only facilitate movement but also support economic activities, particularly farming and trade, which remain the backbone of the local economy.

Beyond roads, Dr Apaak highlighted several other initiatives being rolled out by the government, including the establishment of a 24-hour market, farmers’ service centres, and the extension of electricity to underserved communities.

“I also shared with them government policies, including the 24-hour market, the farmers’ service centre, and the extension of electricity to communities,” he said, adding that these interventions are aimed at improving livelihoods.

He further noted ongoing efforts in the education sector, pointing to the construction of school infrastructure and the supply of furniture to enhance teaching and learning conditions.

Touching on employment, the lawmaker indicated that deliberate steps are being taken to create opportunities for young people through recruitment into the security services, as well as the nursing and teaching professions.

Dr Apaak also used the occasion to call for unity and collective support, urging constituents to continue backing the government’s agenda while offering prayers for President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“I asked them to keep faith with the NDC as we work to meet their needs,” he added.

Dr Clement Abas Apaak is the Member of Parliament for Builsa South in the Upper East Region and is currently serving his third term, having first been elected in the 2016 general election.
