In an update shared via his official Facebook page on 1 May 2026, the Minister confirmed that the national power system has been stabilised.

He attributed this achievement to the tireless efforts of engineers and emergency teams who worked around the clock under demanding conditions to restore operations.

Mr Jinapor praised the workforce for their discipline, professionalism, and patriotism, noting that their commitment was vital in overcoming the substantial challenges facing the national grid.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the leadership and staff of the Ghana Grid Company Limited, the Volta River Authority, and the Electricity Company of Ghana.

He pointed to the swift response and seamless coordination between these agencies were instrumental in securing stability within the energy sector.

Furthermore, Mr Jinapor affirmed that the successful recovery of the system serves as a testament to Ghana’s resilience and the expertise of its people during times of national difficulty.

He offered his support and best wishes to the nation’s engineers and the energy sector at large.
