National Schools Awards launched to boost accountability and learning outcomes across Ghana

The Deputy Minister for Education,  Dr. Clement Apaak on behalf of the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu has launched the National Schools Awards – GALOP Edition, an initiative of the National School Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) under the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP), to promote excellence, strengthen accountability and improve learning outcomes in schools across Ghana.

​Launching the initiative, Dr. Apaak described the awards as more than a recognition programme, saying they represent a bold national commitment to improving learning outcomes, strengthening accountability and celebrating excellence in education.

​He noted that the initiative aligns with the Government’s vision of building a sustainable, accountable and high performing education system that delivers meaningful outcomes for every Ghanaian child.

​He acknowledged the contributions of GALOP and NaSIA in strengthening school leadership, improving instructional practices and enhancing learning outcomes, particularly in underserved schools and communities.
