The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into a viral video depicting alleged misconduct by a female police officer within the Afrancho/Akomadan District.
According to an official statement issued by the command on 5th July 2026, the police officer involved has already been identified.
The administration confirmed that a formal inquiry is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, which reportedly took place on 3rd July 2026.
The command has assured the public that the matter will be handled with strict adherence to service standards, stating, “Appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigations.”
The regional authorities further emphasised their dedication to maintaining public trust and corporate integrity.
“The Command assures the general public of its commitment to professionalism, discipline and accountability,” the statement noted, adding that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
