Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, who also chairs Parliament’s Human Rights Committee, said advancing justice and human rights requires deliberate investment in child protection systems across Ghana.

Speaking at the National Justice Conference 2026, held under the theme “Sustainable Funding for Child Protection Against Labour Exploitation”, Mr Anim emphasized that sustainable financing is critical to enforce laws, support victims, and expand public education.

“As Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of Parliament, I believe that through collective action and sustainable commitment, we can advance justice, uphold human rights, and ensure protection for vulnerable populations across Ghana,” he stated.

The National Justice Conference 2026 brought together stakeholders from government, civil society, and development partners to address financing gaps in child protection and find ways to strengthen legal and social interventions against child labour.

The Kumawu MP reaffirmed Parliament’s commitment, through the Human Rights Committee, to work with relevant ministries and agencies to ensure Ghana meets its constitutional and international obligations on child rights.
