He applauded the newly elected Branch Executives on their victories, describing their success as a call to duty and urging them to serve with unyielding integrity.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all Constituency Executives and the respective Election Committees across the constituencies in the Greater Accra Region for your unwavering commitment, dedication, and hard work in ensuring the successful conclusion of the branch elections in accordance with the party’s guidelines and timetable,” he stated.

Congratulating the newly elected grass-roots leaders, Mr Mahama highlighted that their election demonstrates the high level of trust reposed in them by party members.

Underscoring the pivotal role of the region in the country’s political landscape, Mr Mahama declared Greater Accra as the central engine of national electoral outcomes, urging the new executives to embrace their responsibilities with seriousness.

“Greater Accra remains the heartbeat of Ghana’s electoral fortunes. The region continues to play a decisive role in determining the outcome of national elections, and for that reason, your role as Branch Executives can never be underestimated. Your contributions will always be valued, respected, and supported,” he emphasized.

He rallied the newly sworn-in officers to prioritise unity, grass-roots mobilisation, and party cohesion as the NDC sets its sights on victory in the upcoming 2028 general elections.

“As the custodians of the party at the grassroots level, your leadership will be instrumental in mobilising our members, promoting unity, and positioning the party for an even greater victory in the 2028 general elections. The confidence reposed in you comes with enormous responsibility, and I have no doubt that you will rise to the occasion and deliver exceptional results,” he added.

Concluding his address, Mr Mahama expressed his commitment to working side-by-side with the local leadership to build a formidable party structure across the region.

“I look forward to working closely with each of you in the spirit of collaboration, mutual respect, and shared purpose as we pursue our common objective of building a stronger party and securing an emphatic victory in the 2028 general elections. Together, let us remain united, focused, and committed to building an even stronger Greater Accra Region and a stronger National Democratic Congress,” he stated.
