The current leadership of NDC has been incredibly awful-Dela Coffie writes

March 20, 2021

I grew up voting NDC all my life. It was in my family’s veins. As a matter of fact, at 10, I was already following my folks to ACDR and CDR meetings in the early 90s. As young as I was then, I understood the workings of the PDCs and WDCs. I’m an unrepentant adherent of Chairman Rawlings’ political beliefs, and the ethos and the ideals that underpinned the formation of the NDC.

My point here is that I know the NDC too well. It used to be strong and resolute party with courageous leaders who inspires us to action and make us stand taller. There was a time in this party when the voices of great leaders lifted us up and made us want to do better. Not anymore.
The NDC as it is now has lost its moral worth, and it is firmly in the hands of gutless leaders, whose idea of leadership is antiquated as the medieval age.

Indeed, if proof were ever needed that the current NDC leaders are spineless and have no functioning frontal lobe, here it is – their connivance to get Mahama imposed on the party ahead of election 2024.
Yeah, we’re talking about leadership that is still collating the 2016 and 2020 election results and yet they’re busy plotting to keep the failure team in motion for another successful future electoral defeats.

While Ofosu Ampofo and his national executives at the party headquarters appears to be slumbering, Mahama and his cult followers are making a hostile take over bid for the NDC. The party has effectively collapsed into a personality cult.

If you are in doubt about the cult that I am referring to, check out how hopeless they’ve been in their justification of the return of their cult leader with the 6million plus votes propaganda. Some of the comments supporting the return of Mahama make me despair and I’m sharply reminded as to why the NDC is where it is now.

It is almost as if Mahama simply dipped his hands into his pocket, pulled out the 6million votes and dashed it to the NDC, such that the votes will automatically disappear into thin air if the party doesn’t return him as flagbearer.

Are these pathetic self-indulgent folks implying that they’re unaware of the fact that a substantial chunk of the Ghanaian voter population actually votes on party insignia and logo, in that the NDC would have still garnered the 6million plus votes, or more even if a crude caricature of a goat was on the ticket in 2020?

Again, are these people not bothered in the least that the NDC is gradually losing its stronghold of the ‘north’ while having a son of the north as the party’s flag bearer? Are they paying attention to the data in the last two elections from the ‘north’? Okay, my bad. We are actually dealing with cultists here and they’re never rational in their thinking.
The situation with Mahama and his cult followers is quite intriguing. Whereas the lunatic fringe continue to drink his piss because he says it’s beer, majority of the base actually knows too well he’s serving them piss and yet they continue to ask for more. He’s literally playing them and they’re loving it.

The NDC as it is now with Mahama in charge will win nothing and this is the uncomfortable truth. It’s not rocket science to realise that most folks will never vote NDC again while he’s the leader – he needs to go away to give any future NDC a fighting chance.

Let’s all think, for a second, is it that the leadership of the NDC really have a limited ability to see real issues affecting the NDC’s saftey and well being?

Well, the answer to this underscores the acute hypocrisy and double standard that courses through the veins of the entire leadership.

Every frigging day, you look at the happenings in the party and you are just stunned by how incredibly awful this current leadership has been, and it’s frightening.

Chairman Rawlings must be spinning in his grave.

I shall be back!!!
