The Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi, has announced that security measures have been adopted to prevent violent clashes in the upcoming Kotoko and Hearts game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He disclosed on Rainbow Sports that two big rooms at the Sports Stadium, have been converted into temporary Police Cells.
He said maximum security personnel from both the Police and Military would be deployed to the stadium to deal with persons who would create problems.
Other security measures adopted include roadblocks to prevent unauthorised persons from entering the stadium.
Advance tickets he noted would be sold, and the security men would check the tickets before allowing supporters to enter the stadium.
He told Isaac Worlanyo Wallace that supporters of both teams are to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols and desist from hooliganism or would be punished by the law.
The NSA boss said the security arrangements were made after stakeholder engagements.
